Ohio finalizes rules for medical cannabis cultivators

The Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review has passed rules governing growing medical marijuana, as well as licensing and application fees on Monday. No objections were raised during the vote.

The new rules give medical marijuana regulators broad discretion in which previous crimes would prevent someone from obtaining a growing license. The rules also restrict the growing of cannabis to no more than 24 sites, which are in turn limited to 3,000 square feet or less. The sites will also be subject to fees – some of the largest in the country.
