Armed man leaps pharmacy counter and demands opioids

Police are searching for the man who robbed pharmacists at gunpoint Monday. The robbery took place in north Columbus at the CVS on Cherry Bottom Road and Morse Road.

Columbus police said the wandered about the store before he vaulted over the pharmacy counter. He then held employees at gunpoint, and demanded the opiate codeine. He managed to escape with three bottles of the drug.

Police say he had an accent and was in his late teens or early 20s. The suspect stood about 5’7 and had thin, curly hair.
