Arts Fest up-skirt videographer arrested
A registered sex offender is being accused of creeping up to several women at the Columbus Arts Fest and shooting videos with a camera up their skirts.
Marrio Lyles, 31, is facing nearly two dozen counts of “gaining sexual pleasure from watching others when they are naked or engaged in sexual activity.” In short, voyeurism.
Lyles allegedly put a camera inside a computer bag and secretly capturing videos beneath women’s’ skirts, according to NBC4i.
A festival attendee alerted officers of his suspicious behavior and when they tried making contact with him, he took off. Lyles was eventually found hiding behind a parked car on South Front Street with a digital camera on the ground, reports NBC4i per the police.
Upon arresting him, officers searched the SD card inside the camera and found 20 video clips of footage from up the skirts of 13 different women.
Lyles has had similar convictions in 2008 in Steubenville and in 2016 on the campus of Columbus State Community College.
