Local mom receives nightmarish call while volunteering in Texas

LaMona Marshall was assisting grieving families in Houston, Texas when she got a call that is every parents worst nightmare.

Her son, Roberto Marshall, had been shot and killed,

It happened at an apartment complex in the area of Stone Ridge Drive.

Like his mother, Roberto was also an outreach advocate.

LaMona told 10tv that her son cared deeply about his community, young teens, and music. He even got involved with legislation to help propel changes in his neighborhood.

The People’s Justice Project and Voices of the Unheard are holding a candle light vigil in Roberto’s honor tomorrow night.
