Man accused of trying to drown mother of his children

Police are looking for a Columbus man accused of attempting to drown the mother of his children while they were present.

Vincent R. Williams has also been charged with kidnapping.

It happened two days before Mother’s Day. Williams and the mother of his children got into an argument that turned violent. Williams held her head below water in the bathtub in their home while the children were in close proximity.

Williams is described as a black man, 5’11”, 215 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Last time anyone knew, he was living in the 4000 block of Keeler Drive in east Columbus near Livingston Avenue and Hamilton Road.

Williams has been charged with several other domestic violence offenses.
