Man who raped a Chase bank employee last year has been sentenced to 40 years in prison. Billy Dee Anderson pled guilty to one account of kidnapping as well as three accounts of rape.
The crimes occurred in February 19, 2016 at the downtown Columbus Chase Bank Tower on 3rd and Broad St. Anderson had just been released from prison after serving over three years for abduction and attempted robbery.
Anderson entered the bank and asked about renting a safe-deposit box. A female employee took him to the lower level where the boxes are located. That is when Anderson held her against her will and raped her several times.
Since then, Chase bank has closed the safe-deposit area of the downtown location.
