15 to Life for German Village Handyman Murderer

Charles J. Green was sentenced today for the murder of a landlady, whose body was discovered stuffed into a German Village wishing well. He was arrested in March of 2015 for the crime which occurred in July of 2008.

The original conviction was in January — where Green, 54, was convicted for aggravated  robbery, kidnapping, and murder of the 81-year-old Alyce Seff.

Franklin County Common Pleas Judge Laurel Beatty Blunt handed the mandatory sentence of life in prison with no chance of parole for 15 years for the murder and imposed 10 additional years for the other two charges but those will run concurrent with the murder sentence.

There was no physical evidence that linked Greene to the “horrendous” crime scene, but the jury found the circumstantial evidence to be damning and convincing.
