Twenty-five physicians and professors in the Ohio State University College of Medicine signed a letter that expressed their lack of confidence in the OSU Wexner Medical Center CEO.
One of the main points in the seven page letter was the mission of the medical center set “unrealistic clinical effort and research funding expectations that are incompatible with academic medicine.” It also stated that more people would have supported and signed the letter if doing so did not put their job in jeopardy.
The letter was sent to OSU President Michael V. Drake, Provost Bruce McPheron and the chairmen of the boards of trustees for the medical center and the university.
