UPDATED Amber Alert: missing 4-year-old girl found safe
10 a.m. Janylia Fails has been found safe in NE Columbus according to Fox28. Police are still investigating how she got to that location after she was in the stolen car.
Around 8 a.m. this morning, an Amber Alert was issued in central Ohio by the Columbus Police Department for the 4-year-old missing girl. She was sleeping in the backseat of a 2004 Chevrolet Impala when the vehicle was stolen on North Fourth St. and Chittenden Ave.
At 8:30 a.m., the stolen car was found but Fails was still missing.
At 9:30 a.m. the police detained a man connected to the car theft and kidnapping. They are still working to identify him.
Finally at 10 a.m., Fails was found safe at 3052 Cassady Village Trail.
Police are interviewing three persons of interest.
