Updated: Armed & Dangerous Suspect Arrested
Update: Tyrell Lamont Williams, 27, has been arrested in the connection with the murder of Jermaine Wooden.
Police say Williams was found at a home on North Waverly Street, less than four miles from the scene.
Today, Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at 6:23 a.m. CPD Officers and Medics were dispatched to 1934 Apt. B Maryland Avenue on a report of a shooting. Officers arrived and found the victim inside of the residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to O.S.U. East E.R., by C.F.D. in “critical” condition.
The victim, 33-year-old Jermaine Valdez Wooden (M/B) was subsequently transferred to O.S.U. Main Hospital E.R. where he succumbed to his injuries, at 8:29 a.m.
The investigation indicates that the suspect, 27-year-old Tyrell Lamont Williams (M/B) and the victim were inside of the apartment when, for unknown reason(s), the suspect produced a firearm and shot the victim.
The suspect (seen above) then fled from the scene. The suspect is at large and should be considered armed and dangerous. The investigation continues.
