CBUS Doc Indicted on 82 Charges of Child Porn Pleads Not Guilty
Update Feb. 3rd: Dr. David Ryan, a central Ohio chiropractor, has plead not guilty to 82 charges related to child pornography.
Ryan is most well known for being involved in the Arnold Sports Festival, creating their medical team — according to 1otv, a spokesperson for the event has said he co-chaired the team until his resignation in 2012.
His chiropractic offices were located on the 6000 block of Cleveland Avenue, and there is no evidence that Ryan treated children at the center.
His attorney says, “he vigorously denies the charges.” His bond is set at $75,000.
Dr. David Ryan, a central Ohio chiropractor has been indicted on 82 charges, all related to child pornography.
His Lewis Center home and business, the Columbus Chiropractic Center, were raided where electronic devices were taken.
How did investigators find out? They were tipped off to the alleged crimes after transactions took place via email that were known to contain the aforementioned child pornography. These were then linked back to Ryan. Investigators have since discovered evidence that he participated in both the downloading and sharing of child pornography.
His charges include: Pandering Sexually Oriented Matter Involving a Minor and Pandering Obscenity Involving a Minor.
Ryan is in custody but his arraignment date has not been set.
