Update: Feds arrest several MS-13 gang members in Columbus

Update: Several people were arrested this morning in association with the MS-13 gang. So far, 13 gang members have been arrested in Columbus and Indiana. Two more people have been charged with gang-related violence.


08/15/2017 9:08am- A gang known for brutal violence has been allegedly located in Columbus. Several suspected members of the MS-13 gang were arrested by state and federal officers in north Columbus neighborhoods near Cleveland Ave., Morse Rd., and Innis Park this morning, reports 10tv.

MS-13 is an international gang whose members are known for inflicting extreme violence, even murder, with machetes and for having large tattoo representing the group’s name. It originated in LA in the 80s and was dominated by Mexican gangs, reports BBC. The gang has now spread to 46 states.

According to BBC per an FBI specialist, the motto of MS-13 is “kill, rape, control.”
