Former Ohio State University running back, Bri’onte Dunn, was in court Monday and placed on a two-year probation period for assaulting his then-girlfriend in 2016.
Police say that Dunn repeatedly assaulted Brittany Menninger by hitting her in the face and head, according to the Columbus Dispatch.
OSU Coach Urban Meyer dismissed Dunn the day following the assault. Dunn was convicted of a misdemeanor count of assault and told to stay away from Menninger as a condition for dismissing a misdemeanor count of domestic violence.
Dunn was a fifth year senior who graduated in May and was expected to play as the starting tailback.
