Four local businesses robbed, one busy suspect believed to be responsible
Four local businesses were robbed within an hour Thursday by one guy. Or at least that’s what the CPD thinks right now.
The first robbery happened at a T-Mobile store at 5331 Westpointe Plaza Dr. at 7pm. The culprit was wearing blue plaid shorts and a black shirt. He told the person behind the counter that he had a gun and threatened to use it if he wasn’t given money. He got spooked when a customer walked in and fled.
Coincidently, a man wearing the same outfit robbed the Red Roof Inn at 5001 Renner Rd. The two establishments are a 6 minute walk from each other. There, the man pulled out a gun and got away with some cash.
Police think the suspect changed his shorts to a gray pair and proceeded to the Super 8 along 5655 Feder Rd. The Red Roof Inn and the Super 8 are 12 minutes apart (walking). This time, he wrote a note demanding money with his gun displayed. He took off before he got money from the motel but he did rob a customer outside.
Quick costume change again into a white hoodie. He entered the BP gas station at 4100 W Broad st. at around 8pm. From the Super 8, the walk is over an hour but you can get there in 7 minutes by vehicle. He flashed his gun and demanded money. He also robbed a customer inside the store.
