Following the horrific murder of Reagan Tokes, two Ohio Legislators have voiced their lack of confidence in GPS ankle monitors and their effectiveness in keeping Ohio citizens safe.
Brian Golsby, the man accused of killing the OSU student, was wearing one of these monitors that night as well as during several other robberies and assaults in German Village he is supposedly responsible for.
Ohio State Reps Kristin Boggs and David Leland aren’t sure if putting GPS monitors on parolees really protect citizens from criminals. They believe it may create a false sense of security to the public.
“We’re not doing a good job of protecting the people in the state of Ohio,” Leland said, as reported by NBC4i.
