Local Photography Store Hit by “Mission Impossible” Thieves

Columbus Police are searching for suspects in a high-end, “Mission Impossible” style heist of high-end cameras, lenses and cases at Midwest Photos, located on Silver Drive.

Midwest Photo officials told police that someone busted through their roof at the shop last Wednesday night, slid down a pipe and then made off with the expensive equipment housed in their storage area. They believe more than one person was involved and were familiar with the store layout.

According to Moishe, it was, “Mission Impossible style. It was a really professional crew that knew what they were doing.” He said to FOX28.

A string of similar thefts have occurred in the Midwest over the past week-and-a-half, leading Midwest Photo to speculate that they are moving across the country.

Police are currently investigating.
