Man held at knifepoint, robbed by woman answering Craigslist ad

A local woman is being accused of holding a man at knifepoint for 18 hours while she robbed him.

It began when Karen Costlow answered the victim’s Craigslist ad for female companionship. Once she arrived at the victim’s house, she drew a knife and demanded his wallet which was empty. Costlow who still had the victim at knifepoint, forced him into his car which she drove to pick up an unidentified accomplice.

They cruised around and used the victim’s cards to make purchases at several different establishments and ATM withdrawals. The spree went on for 18 hours before the victim’s card was finally denied at a Giant Eagle on E Whittier St. An officer approached Costlow after being told she was trying to steal a drink. That’s when the victim broke free and ran behind the cop, informing him that he was kidnapped.

Costlow was arrested but her accomplice is still unknown.
