Man Passes out in McDonald’s Drive-Thru After Shooting up

A Columbus man high on heroin caused a fiery accident in the McDonald’s drive-thru on E. Livingston Avenue Wednesday night. Before he was able to pick up his McDouble, he passed out behind the wheel with his foot pressing on the gas.

He rammed into the car ahead of him, not causing any injury, but with force enough to mangle the vehicles. They eventually caught on fire. Thankfully no one was injured.

George Wallace, the EMS Field Supervisor for the Columbus Division of Fire, voiced concerns about people taking their drug use to more public places like public restrooms and vehicles.

Wallace also added that he sees the most drug overdoses in the Hilltop neighborhood.
