Ohio’s most searched Pokémon Go creature is totally lame

This time last year, pretty much everybody was at the mercy of wherever their favorite Pokémon was hiding.

Everyone was d-d-d-d-down with the sickness that was Pokémon Go.

To celebrate the one year milestone of the game, Decluttr.com peered into some of the Pokémon Go data to uncover which digital creature was most sought after in each state.

In 2016, the Pokémon most Ohioans searched for with queries like “where is…” and “how to find…” was Dratini.

Then in 2017, even after Gen 2 was released, we played it super old school with the most searches for Pikachu. Way to be original, buckeyes.

Pikachu was the most wanted Pokémon the whole country, actually. Not so surprising, seeing as the little yellow monster is the official mascot. A few states moved on to hunting Gen 2 Pokémon including Kentucky (Pichu), Minnesota (Umbreon), and Montana (Smeargle).

Here’s a graphic of each state’s most popular prey.
