New Amazon product bumps 2-day delivery to snail mail
Because two day shipping and walking to the neighborhood convenience store is so god-awful and time consuming, Amazon had to make something better.
Prime members can now retrieve orders in two minutes with Instant Pickup. Jeesh.. that makes free two-day Prime delivery look like snail mail. Orders made through Instant Pickup will be available at physical Amazon locations 120 seconds after ordering.
Instant Pickup is attempting to bridge the gap between real-life stores and online shopping. With crazy fast speed, of course. Amazon intends for this service to be used for snacks, drinks, toiletries, and small electronics. The target market for these stores will be college campuses, reports The Dispatch.
Amazon didn’t come right out and say where the Columbus store is going to be but we do know that an Amazon storefront is going in at 2114 North High St on the Ohio State campus.
