Trial Set for Columbus Man Attempting to Join ISIS

Aaron T. Daniels, also known as Harun Muhammad and Abu Yusuf was arrested November 7th in Columbus. He was accused of providing or attempting to provide money and support to ISIS — according to the The U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Daniels planned to leave Columbus today with intention of making his way to Libya and joining the terrorist organization.
Daniels allegedly paid $250 to an ISIS recruiter in the hopes to join their ranks.
Today, a judge has set an August 14th trial for Daniels, who pled not guilty to terrorism-related charges. According to this attorneys, he may have mental health issues.
