Two really good reasons to not leave car while it warms in AM

You don’t have an extra 5-10 minutes during your morning routine to wait in your car while it defrosts. So you let it warm up, head inside, and it’s ready to roar when you’re finished with your cereal.

Makes sense.

Except for when you walk back outside and your vehicle is gone.

10TV reports that three vehicles were stolen from driveways this morning because their owners left them unattended while they warmed.

And not only are you putting your car in jeopardy of being stolen, you are also breaking the law.

The Ohio Revised Code reads:

“No person driving or in charge of a motor vehicle shall permit it to stand unattended  without first stopping the engine, locking the ignition, removing the key from the ignition,  effectively setting the parking brake, and, when the motor vehicle is standing upon any grade, turning the front wheels to the curb or side of the highway.”

We know it sucks to sit in a cold car but we’d say it’s worth it, yeah?
