Two teenage girls shot in Hilltop

Two teen girls suffered multiple gunshot wounds Tuesday evening in the Hilltop neighborhood. One was 16 years old, the other only 14.

Officers arrived at the 200 block of South Highland Ave. around 11 p.m. last night. The two young female victims had very serious injuries but are expected to survive.

Police believe one person is responsible for both shootings but they do not have a suspect in custody at this time.
