Update: Missing worthington teen’s body recovered in SC waters
Update: The body of the teen who went missing while swimming in South Carolina has been found. Sixteen-year-old Franklin “Eric” Clark’s body was recovered from Fripp Island waters today around noon.
He was reported missing around 2:30 p.m. Sunday after he and some friends went swimming in 8-foot deep water. His friends suspect he caught an undertow.
Clark was on a trip with his Thomas Worthington basketball team. The Beaufort County Coroner’s Office will perform an autopsy to confirm cause of death.
Breaking: Police continue to search for a central Ohio teen who went missing in the water off a coastal island in South Carolina. The water they were in was 8-foot deep. Clark’s friends believe he may have caught an undertow.
This was the third year Clark had visited Fripp Island with the Thomas Worthington basketball team.
