Short North vintage shop looking to move off High St.

Flower Child Vintage was been a staple of the Short North’s landscape for 11 years but that may soon change.
The owner, Joe Valenti, is looking to relocate to the intersection of 5th and 4th streets and take over what used to be an old hardware parts store.

Business First reports that The Italian Village Commission supports Valenti’s goal and even though the area may not get much foot traffic now, it’s rapidly changing to be more accommodating for pedestrians.

Per the request of the landlord, Valenti doesn’t plan on significantly altering the building at 249 E 5th Avenue. Coincidently, thinks the shop’s vintage vibe will greatly compliment The Flower Child’s feel.

Part of the reason for the move can be attributed to the rising of rents in The Short North.
