Civil lawsuit in queue for State Fair ride malfunction

614now Staff

Though the county prosecutor isn’t filing criminal charges in the State Fair ride malfunction case, the lawyer of one of the victims fully intends to push forward with a civil case.

It’s been over a month since the ride broke apart and Keziah Lewis, the 18-year-old who’s boyfriend died in the incident, remains in the hospital.

Her lawyer, Sean Alto,  foresaw the ordeal as a civil case all along so he wasn’t surprised when no criminal charges were filed, reports NBC4i.

While Lewis recovers, Alto will push forward with the lawsuit.
