New report: Columbus 2nd best place to live post college graduation
Hey 22ish-year-olds- feels pretty weird to be graduated from college, huh? Well rest assured because you are living in one of the nation’s best cities for recent college grads. If you’re looking for the best city to live now that your keg stand and Pizza Roll days are over (just kidding, they’re never over), all you have to do is drive 60 minutes south to Cincinnati.
According to a report by SmartAsset.com, Columbus is the second best place to live fresh out of undergrad. Cinci is the best place and has been for two years.
The report mulled over criteria like job availability, housing affordability, and dining and entertainment options before locking in their final answers.
Here’s what they had to say about C-bus:
“The Discovery City was able to make its way up largely because of its beneficial job market. The unemployment rate among people with bachelor’s degrees decreased by 0.5%, although the overall unemployment rate has gone up slightly. But luckily, those with degrees are making more than last year on average.”
They also shouted out our indie art scene and and young population (20 percent is in their 20s).
So there you have it. Your friends in Cali and NYC may be taking glamour shots on Instagram but the joke’s on them.
