Franklinton on a roll: city funds non-profit grocery store

Cool stuff continues to happen in the fast-developing Franklinton neighborhood. Monday the Columbus City Council approved a $150,000 grant to help Franklinton get a unique grocery store concept. The project which is mostly privately funded is a non-profit store which aims to price its products according to customer income.

The 5,000 square-foot store is expected to open in Mid-October of this year. The city’s grant are part of funds from the taxes paid by the Hollywood Casino
