Remember a few days ago when a group of professors and physicians wrote a letter that highlighted “no confidence” in the Wexner Medical Center CEO? Well, since then, the CEO, Sheldon Retchin, has stepped down from his position.
OSU president Michael Drake announced Sheldon’s resignation last night.
“Sheldon came to us after more than four decades as one of the most respected and prominent academic medical center leaders in the country,” Drake wrote. “He brought with him great wisdom, intelligence and integrity that were hallmarks of his two years with Ohio State.”
Although the “no confidence” letter from faculty also called out Craig Kent, dean of the College of Medicine, Kent will not resign.
