CPD Raid Fraudulent Panty Operation
According to a report by The Dispatch — the Columbus Police Department were tipped off after Victoria’s Secret security team members noticed that nearly three dozen orders were redirected to a Hilltop residence.
Apparently, an individual claiming to be a legitimate customer would call the customer care center complaining that their orders were never received — and that the new order be sent to a new address.
Like clockwork, the individual attempted again but this time CPD was ready for when the fraudulent order was placed. According to The Dispatch, police watched as FedEx delivered the nearly $200 order from Victoria’s Secret to the address.
While police were watching, a man entered the residence shortly after the delivery and carried the package back out.
Police raided the address last week where they found panties, bras, sweat pants and cosmetics inside.
