#Eat614: Mother + medical professional + expert lunch packer
Packed lunches bring about thoughts of squished pb&j sandwiches, a small bag of carrots, some crackers, and maybe if you were lucky, your mom threw in a Little Debbie treat for dessert. Those brown paper bag days are all but in the past with meal prep services and everyone–including McDonald’s– offering delivery.
But not for Dru Wallarvi. This badass mama is not only a medical professional, she an expert-level lunch packer. All her afternoon meal boxes represent the food pyramid quite nicely with fruit, veggies, proteins, dairy, and grains appearing in nearly every one. They’re all nutritious but not unreasonably so (see garlic bread, no-bake cookies, and salty snacks).
Dru’s lunch game is on point, plain and simple. Learn to pack like a pro with her Instagram page, @acumen_and_aperture
