Fatal crash in Grandview
One person was killed in a crash on Grandview Ave. yesterday afternoon. Two others were treated for injuries.
A van and a car collided at the intersection of Grandview Avenue and the ramp to I-670 west.
The van was traveling northbound on Grandview Ave. when it crashed into a Honda Accord turning southbound onto the ramp of I-670.
A passenger in the Honda Accord, 48-year-old Lawrence Benintend, was taken to a hospital in critical condition where he later passed away.
The driver of the Accord was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while the driver of the van was treated for injuries at the scene and released.
The accident remains under investigation.
