#Fit614: Work that booty at Brickhouse Gahanna
When it comes to fitness, I’ll try anything once. You never know how a workout will change your body or mindset.
With that being said — if you like variety in your workouts like I do then you need to check out Brickhouse Cardio Club Gahanna.
Brickhouse Cardio offers a whole buffet of classes– 7 Les Mills classes, 3 Zumba classes, BootyBarre, and Monday Mashup which is a circuit workout using TRX. Recently I was able to try BodyPump, BootyBarre, and Sprint. I chose these classes because they are 3 completely different workouts.
BodyPump will get you lean and toned. The class focuses on repetitive weight lifting and since I’m not very experienced with these types of workouts, it was nice to have an instructor there to correct my motions. I felt strong during this class.
BootyBarre — my favorite class — takes different techniques from dance, pilates, and yoga and puts them together to help build strength and flexibility. This class might sound easy, but just wait til you are standing on your toes in a squat position. Your legs will be on FIRE! Definitely worth the burn though.
Lastly, Sprint, is a 30-minute HIIT workout using an indoor bicycle. Sprint is a great class for anyone that needs minimum impact on their joints. WARNING: this class might only be 30 minutes but you’ll be tired and soaked in sweat once it’s over.
The studio is open to men and women — couples get a special rate on their membership! My classes were mostly made up of women though which gave me an extra little support boost. I feel much less competitive when I’m surrounded by women who build each other up, rather than compare themselves.
In short, I think you should take Brickhouse Cardio Club Gahanna for a spin. C’mon, can’t say you don’t like it until you try!
