Hilliard cops working as free agents

Hilliard cops are free agents. Union members rejected a deal presented to them by Hilliard supervisors and council members, meaning Hilliard cops are working without a contract. Both a contract for officers and a contract for supervisors were voted down.
The president of the fraternal order of police is in the dark about the whole thing–he doesn’t know why cops rejected the offer.
City council called a meeting last night to discuss the terms and conditions in the contracts with their attorneys.
While they’re mulling this over, Hilliard cops are keeping it business as usual. They’re serving Hilliard to their fullest capability, even without contracts.
