Kiss overbooked flights goodbye

Southwest is the busiest air carrier at John Glenn Columbus International Airport. They’ll never drag you off an overbooked flight thanks to new technology. This $500 million reservation system update will allow the airline to launch red-eye flights and make other schedule changes.

This is the first time in 30 years that Southwest updated their system. It’s about time too, seeing as the software crash that happened last year canceled over 2,000 flights and cost them anywhere from $54 to $82 million.

The system switchover happened on Tuesday and so far, there has been no word of customers experiencing any difficulties.
