Patriotic Grove City teen crushes GoFundMe goal to pay for speeding ticket

Some high schooler from Grove City got a speeding ticket on Memorial Day for racing a Mustang and created a GoFundMe campaign to pay for it. It wasn’t just any impulsive teenager speeding ticket story though. Or at least, that’s not what Logan Wright painted it as.

His tale begins with him driving to work in his Honda Civic when what he calls a “dumbass Mustang” passes him. The driver was allegedly going 80 mph and flipped him off.

“I wasn’t gonna be a pussy and lose to a Mustang on freedom day so I kissed my USA lanyard and my picture of Stone Cold Steve Austin, the best damn wrestler to ever live, and started burning the bald eagle piss,” he writes.

Naturally, an officer pulls over Wright for speeding. Evidently, the officer asked him, “What do you have in this thing?” to which he answered,

“Bald eagle piss and freedom sir.”

So he got a ticket, obviously. He had to start the GoFundMe campaign because he spent all his money on race car parts. Thank God he did or his Civic wouldn’t have been able to “dust” the Mustang like he claimed. Wright said the money earned would go towards paying off the ticket and AC/DC CD’s if he had any extra dough.

People didn’t think his humorous campaign was so funny though. He got some negative backlash but Wright swooped in, smooth as ever, to mend the situation.

“I will be donating the extra money to Wounded Warriors and Soldiers Angels,” he writes. “I never once begged for money. I do have a job. I’m keeping it open and saying this so people know that the extra money that’s donated is going to help our military. Thank you.”
