Pyro pleads guilty to starting house fire with fireworks

Joseph Broyles has taken responsibility for his pyromania. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of criminal damaging for starting a house fire with fireworks. The charge was brought down from felony criminal damaging or endangering.
The incident happened July 16 at the expense of a home on the 600 block of Hanford St.
Broyles and accomplice Antwan Householder were seen throwing fireworks at a house and trying to get inside. The resident then heard a window shatter and saw the curtains go up in flames. The blaze spread to the porch though no one was injured.
Broyles is set to be sentenced on August 23 and Householder on August 29.
