Storms Rock Central Ohio

Storms blew through central Ohio Wednesday morning. A wind advisory was issued for N. Central Ohio until 10 pm. Winds upward of 40 mph are expected.

Current Warnings:

Tornado Watch: Fairfield, Hocking, and Pickaway County until 11:00 a.m.

Flash Flood Warning: Fayette County until 11:15am | Perry County until 11:30 a.m. | Scioto County until 10:15 a.m.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Athens, Jackson, and Vinton County until 9:15 a.m.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch: Athens, Jackson, Morgan, Perry, Vinton and Washington County until 1:00 p.m.

A tornado did touch down in southern Ohio — Highland County — where several homes were damaged. No serious injuries have been reported in Ohio but two are dead in Arkansas after a tornado touched down.
