It’s that time of year! What better way to spend the holidays than by checking out some of the amazing live performances Columbus has to offer?

Below is a list of productions that are sure to get you in the holiday spirit.

Holiday Hoopla

Where: 503 S. Front Street #260, Columbus

When: November 15-December 29, 2018

Shadowbox Live returns with its longest running production, Holiday Hoopla. The sketch comedy-musical mix is considered the “granddaddy of all holiday shows” and with comedy trio The Santa Babies, you don’t want to miss this one.

Holiday Lunchbox

Where: 503 S. Front Street #260, Columbus

When: December 4-21, 2018

A companion to Holiday Hoopla, this matinee features 45 minutes of sketch comedy and christmas classics featuring comedy/musical threesome The Santa Babies

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

Where: 769 E. Long St., Columbus

When: December 13-23, 2018

Columbus Children’s Theater is presenting its regional premiere of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever: The Musical. The updated classic tells the story of the Herdman siblings who take over the annual Christmas pageant. Featuring new songs and more singing, this family friendly classic won’t disappoint.

The Nutcracker

Where:39 E. State St., Columbus

When: December 7-23, 2018

Ballet Met’s annual production of The Nutcracker is back just in time to soothe your holiday stress. The lavish production features over a hundred dancers and  is known for its elaborate costume and set design. In addition to the show, there will be a live feed on the second floor, along with a craft station and christmas carolers before the show.

A Charlie Brown Christmas

Where: 39 E. State St., Columbus

When: December 16, 2018

For those of you feeling nostalgic around the holidays, CAPA’s A Charlie Brown Christmas is the show to see. Uptown Scrooge

Where: 30 E. College Ave. Westerville, 

When: November 24-December 16, 2018

 

Good Medicine Productions’  Uptown Scrooge is a fresh take on Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Performed in the streets of Westerville, it’s sure to be a special experience. Featuring puppetry, singing, improv and audience interaction, you won’t want to miss it. Plus, it’s for a good cause. A Portion of the proceeds directly benefits the Good Medicine pediatric and senior living  programs.
