Finding Your Adventure: Ohio Tourism Day Kicks Off May 9
Getting out and exploring the world around you doesn’t mean you gotta hop in your car and drive down I-71S towards your next getaway destination; sometimes it’s as easy as checking out of the bubble you live in and experiencing adventures Ohio has to offer. But, sometimes getting out of that bubble is easier said than done, and that’s why TourismOhio is tossing some tips your way in honor of National Travel and Tourism Week.

On May 9, TourismOhio is hosting a free event dedicated to tourism in Ohio at the Ohio Statehouse West Plaza where you’ll have the chance to check out live music, get up close and personal with zoo animals, throw your name in the jar for giveaways, test your luck with Irish step dancing, or even ride a wave runner simulator! With more than 80 different vendors attending the event, you’ll get to catch up with some of your favorite Columbus staples—COSI, the Columbus Blue Jackets, and the Ohio History Connection—as well as some out-of-towners like Hocking Hills Canopy Tours, Cedar Point, and Great Ohio Lodges.
The event beings at 11 a.m. If you take a photo at the event, be sure to use the #OhioFindItHere and #OhioTourismDay!
