9 cozy bars and restaurants you’ll never want to leave

Everyone has their own, unique style but coziness is a taste everyone has a soft spot for.

Be it low lighting, candles, fireplaces, friendly service, inviting decor or a combination of all, cozy establishments are a must now that the weather is cooling off.

There are countless joints that we could just curl up in and never leave but we’ve done the difficult job of selecting nine standouts (but don’t forget to comment your personal faves below).

Here are some of our favorite cozy eateries and drinkeries around central Ohio:

Harvest Pizzeria

German Village: 495 S. 4th St., Columbus
Clintonville: 2885 N High St., Columbus
Dublin: 45 N. High St., Dublin

The laid back vibe of a pizza shop meets an intimate date setting at Harvest Pizzeria. The low lighting and friendly crowds will allow your sauce-covered chin to fly under the radar.

Seventh Son Brewing

1101 N 4th St, Columbus

Grab your boo or invite the whole gang for bench style hangs in the front room or chic garage feels in the back.

Mission Coffee Co

11 Price Ave., Columbus

Exposed brick, broke-in couches, natural lighting, the ever-present aroma of coffee beans…yeah, Mission is cozy, alright.

Katalina’s

1105 Pennsylvania Ave, Columbus

Katalina’s is so cozy that you’ll most likely be rubbing elbows with your new best friend at the table next to you. Winter, spring, summer, or fall, this little cafe will wrap you up in a warm hug you’ll never want to leave.

Nancy’s Home Cooking

3133 N High St, Columbus

Nancy’s is as cozy as your grandma’s kitchen on a Sunday morning. Nothing fancy—just some booths, stools, coffee, and conversation.

Cravings Cafe

114 N. Front St., Columbus

Cravings greets you with wood floors, brick walls, tasteful foliage, a chalk board menu, and down homes feels.

The Barn at Rocky Fork Creek

1370 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna

Enjoy conversation with loved ones as flames dance across your faces and fend off the cold. Cozy up on the comfy furniture with a winter warmer and bore in to the home-spun environment.

Rockmill Brewing

5705 Lithopolis Road NW, Lancaster

Both the interior and exterior of Rockmill are absolutely breathtaking. Take a stroll by the frozen pond or swap stories by the fireplace inside the wood cabin brewery. Tote in your own food, get yourself a brew, and enjoy.

The Top Steak House

2891 East Main St., Columbus

Intimate lighting, check. Fireplace, check. Indulgent food, check. All they need is you.

Tuttle Mall getting a lot sweeter thanks to 2 newcomers

Malls have changed a lot over the years. Remember Waldenbooks? Was KB Toys your go-to as a kid? Heck, even Sears will soon be nothing more than a memory.

While mall establishments are frequently lost to the sands of time, it’s rare that you see a former retailer return to a mall it’s already vacated once. Well brace yourselves, sweets fans, because a gooey, sugar-frosted favorite is making a comeback at Tuttle Mall.

BROUGHT TO YOU BY

Of course we’re talking Cinnabon, which was last in operation at Tuttle some years ago, and is now listed as “coming soon” on the mall’s directory. But wait! As tempting as it will be to fill up on cinnamon rolls after this long absence, you’ll want to save room for this other coming attraction: it seems Duck Donuts is also setting up shop in Tuttle.

Hop on the treadmill and give your dentist a heads-up, mall lovers—sweets are back at Tuttle in a big way!

Columbus native and mayor of Flavortown Guy Fieri has always had a soft spot for his hometown, especially its BBQ. He’s been around the country to enjoy some of the best food America has to offer for his show Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, but it’s right here in Columbus where some of the meats are being smoked: Ray Ray’s Hog Pit.

The Food Network recently posted a list of Fieri’s top barbecue picks from DDD including James Anderson’s smokin’ hot food truck.

Guy Fieri just named us to his “Best BBQ from DDD” list. Thanks for the massive honor Guy, come back and see us anytime. http://bit.ly/DDDBestBBQ
