No knickers needed: Naked Bike Ride Columbus rollin’ through this weekend

Strip down and hop on—World Naked Bike Ride returns this weekend for its ninth go-round.

Every year since 2009, the World Naked Bike Ride has strolled through Columbus on warm summer nights with its unique mix of politics and debauchery.

The ride exists to:

1. Highlight the vulnerability of cyclists to automobiles
2. Protest our dependence on oil and car culture
3. Celebrate our amazing bodies by rejecting all forms of body shame.

The policy is “bare as you dare” so nudity is cool, that is for above the waist.

Keep in mind flaunting your “private parts” in Ohio is actually illegal. Women are suggested to wear merkins (we hear they’re making a comeback) and men to wear a sock.

“Wear as little as you like…..body paint, costumes, merkins, nipple tassels….. get creative!” the Facebook event page states.
