Duck Donuts cranks up the heat with new breakfast offering

Sometimes, 11 shots of espresso just isn’t enough to kick your butt into gear in the mornings. Sometimes, you need an extra kick and Duck Donuts is prepared to give it to you.

The donut shop is putting a twist on their very popular OBX Donut Breakfast Sandwich by adding a drizzle of Texas Pete hot sauce AKA morning go-go juice.

The OBX Donut Breakfast Sandwich starts with a warm sliced donut and customized with the customer’s choice of egg, cheese, sausage or bacon, topped with maple drizzle, chopped bacon and now, hot sauce.

“Duck Donuts is always striving for innovative ways to add additional flavors and new varieties to our menu,” said Russ DiGilio, founder and CEO of Duck Donuts Franchising Company. “Everyone loves bacon and donuts, and now for those who like spice, we’ve kicked it up a notch by adding hot sauce to the flavorful and unique donut breakfast sandwich.”

The Spicy OBX Donut Breakfast Sandwich will be available at the Duck Donuts in Dublin as well as Westerville.
