Elegant Americana restaurant in Brewery District one step closer to opening

Two prominent local chefs are celebrating today after their new restaurant reached its Kickstarter goal.

Catie Randazzo of Challah! and Matthew Heaggans, most recently of The Rossi, and together of Preston’s: A Burger Joint, are teaming up once again to bring us Ambrose & Eve in the Brewery District.

Heaggans and Randazzo hope to deliver an uncommon dining experience to the neighborhood.

“One of the things we always come back to is the food our mothers and grandmothers fed people at dinner parties,” said Heaggans in an interview about the new restaurant. “We’re looking to update Americana and bring it into current day”

Randazzo calls Ambrose & Eve a “more elegant approach to food.”

Though the menu hasn’t been released just yet, you can expect dinner items like fried chicken with all the fixings and specialty concoctions like pastramied carrots with rye crisps, sour cabbage, and mustard aioli.

Ambrose & Eve will also be your go-to brunch spot seven days a week, also.

Randazzo and Heaggans want the restaurant to foster a strong sense of community and acceptance.

“The only thing we don’t want in our restaurant is assholes,” Randazzo said laughingly.

Heaggans added, “We want everyone to be themselves unless their self is a jerk then we want them to be someone else.”
