Former rockstar chef rolling into Merion Village with British restaurant

A famed chef for rock ‘n’ roll’s most iconic bands is bringing a taste of northeast England to Merion Village.

Glen Hall-Jones, former corporate chef for the likes of The Rolling Stones, Genesis, Elton John, and Judas Priest will open Geordie’s Restaurant at 1586 S High St. sometime in December.

The storefront was formerly occupied by the Explorer’s Club restaurant.

The northeast England native hopes to expose Columbus to a new twist on British-style pub staples like fish and chips, mushy peas, authentic Stottie bread, sticky toffee pudding, and pease pudding, reports Columbus Business First.

Guests can expect a full bar stocked with offerings from the UK like Newcastle Brown Ale and Guinness plus a make-your-own Bloody Mary bar during lunch.

Updates to the interior of the restaurant include a more muted, pub-like aesthetic and memorabilia from hall-Jones’ stint in the rock world.
