Italian Village to welcome expansion of Worthington brewery
A local brewery is squaring up to expand to a popular area of town.
Fans of Zaftig Brewing Co. will no longer have to travel out to 7020 Huntley Road for a pint once their new facility opens at Summit Street and 5th Avenue in Italian Village.
The 4,000-square-foot space inside the Beeker Building will house a 150-seat taproom, a 700-square-foot patio, a kitchen, a 5-barrel brewhouse and a trio of fermentation tanks.

Guests can expect a rustic decor with eclectic antiques and old furniture.
Co-owner Jason Blevins told Columbus Business First the Worthington brewery does just fine and he expects 70 percent of all their beer to still come from there, but the Italian Village location will attract more foot traffic and raise the brand’s visibility.
They hope to have the new place opened up by May or June.
