Lawsuit forces changes on Table by Market District

You may not recognize the name of the restaurant on the second floor of the Giant Eagle Market District Express but don’t sweat, it’s still the same place.

Columbus Business First said it best when they said “there’s only room for one Table in Central Ohio.”

You see, the restaurant at 2250 E. Main St. in Bexley was called Table. The owners of The Table at 21 E. Fifth Ave. in the Short North didn’t like that very much so they filed a lawsuit. It was settled in November and the Short North’s Table got its way.

Table in Bexley will soon be known as Market District Kitchen & Bar. Giant Eagle said they are in the process of transitioning the restaurant to its new name and is happy to continue serving Bexley.

Its new sign—which will read “Market District Kitchen & Bar”— will be presented tomorrow.

So in conclusion, although the name of the restaurant in the Market District Express has changed, it is the same place you know and love.
