City pulls trigger on 4 gun laws, officials react
Columbus recorded a record number of homicides last year—143—and Columbus City Councils took measures on Monday that they feel will help curb gun violence in the city.
According to NBC4i, City Council unanimously passed four gun ordinances:
- Ban bump stocks
- Ban the sale of imitation guns to minors
- Address properties with a history of violent crimes
- Expand the definition of domestic violence in an attempt to keep domestic violence offenders from obtaining firearms
