Grandview put to vote: To canna-be or not to canna-be

Grandview Heights took themselves out of the medical marijuana equation but voters will soon have an opportunity to reconsider that.

On the November 6 referendum, residents could reverse the ban placed on dispensaries in April.

City council banned cannabis cultivation and processing in November 2017 which is likely supported by most of the community according to council member Steve Reynolds.

The Dispatch reports some residents support dispensaries, saying they will help people.

Others are concerned about the space they will take up and/or against marijuana altogether.

Per Ohio law, dispensaries were required to be operating by September 8.

Westerville, Dublin and Upper Arlington all placed outright bans on dispensaries within city limits.
