“All I want to do is live.” A few of Reagan Tokes final words revealed during trial

Thursday, March 8 marked the fourth day of the Reagan Toke’s murder trial and also the day police interviewed the man accused, Brian Golsby.

During the trial, the video was played from Golsby’s police interrogation three days after Tokes went missing. Golsby admitted to kidnapping, robbing, and raping Tokes but denied killing her, reports 10TV. 

He told officers Tokes was telling him, “All I want to do is live.”

The GPS ankle monitor Golsby was wearing when Tokes went missing places him in the same locations as Tokes—the Short North area where she was kidnapped, ATMs in German Village where she was robbed, and the Scioto Grove Metro Park where her body was found on February 9, 2017—but maintained the stance he was not the one who murdered her.

“I did not kill nobody,” he said.

10TV reports Golsby claimed a man named “TJ” forced him to rape Tokes and was the one to actually pulled the trigger.

“He shoots her in the head and he shot her in the head again,” Golsby said while sobbing, per 10TV.

Tokes’ parents were not in the courtroom on account of the testimonials being too graphic.
